THE GIVIN' IS LIVIN' PROJECT

INDIA

देना है जीना प्राजेक्ट

 इंडिया

What is it?

The Givin' is Livin' Project originally began as an effort to help the impoverished throughout the Bay Area. This aspect of the project is aimed towards Banganga, Mumbai. Banganga is one of the largest impoverished and economically neglected communities within the city of Mumbai. Banganga is home to numerous people that work as servants, chauffeurs, cooks, washermen etc. Most of the children within this community attend municipal school where the poor quality of education hinders their ability to be successful and one day make their dreams a reality. Some are unable to attend school altogether because they have to go out and work to help earn for their families or stay home and take care of their siblings while their parents go out to earn for the family.

How can you help?

Browse through the picture gallery and choose the picture(s) you like. If the picture you like consists of 1-3 children, 100% of the profits from your purchase will go directly to the children from that picture. If a picture is of a larger group of children or simply of the aesthetics of the community, the money from your purchase will be donated to the community as a whole. A purchase includes a photo card with a printed copy (all pictures come in one standard size) of whatever picture you choose. The story of the person of whose picture you purchased or that of the history of the aesthetic in the picture (if no people are present) is printed next to the picture.  If you buy special bundles through the same transaction, you will receive a special photo book with all the images you purchased and their individual stories. For any further questions, comments and/or concerns feel free to contact me via the "Contact Me" tab.
